If you place furniture which is bulky and overbearing closer to the entrance it will immediately become the focus of attention to anyone entering your home. It gives the eye a false impression that your room is small despite it being spacious. Therefore, keep lighter furniture closer to the entrance and heavier ones next to the walls.

Color your wall. People feel that adding bold colors to accent a wall in the room is too daring and pulls the focus away from other objects around. However, if you choose the right color shade that goes well with the rest of the settings and serves the purpose of adding energy and life, it is a great investment. You can even do it yourself making the project lighter on the pockets, but you must take heart in it. It is not as easy as it seems but if you do it with all your focus and attention, it will definitely turn out to look amazing!
